List of Indian athletes that have qualified for Olympics 2024

Take a look at the full list of Indian athletes that have qualified for the Olympics 2024 in Paris so far.

The Paris Olympics 2024 are just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited to see the Indian contingent soar the national flag high. Over the years, there has been a steady rise in the number of athletes participating in the Summer Olympics.

The Rio 2016 Games saw 117 Indian athletes take the field, including 63 men and 54 women, across 15 sports. India won two medals in Rio, with PV Sindhu winning a silver in badminton and Sakshi Malik winning a bronze.

Meanwhile, the number increased in Tokyo 2020, where India sent their largest-ever contingent of 126 athletes who won a record seven medals, with Neeraj Chopra’s gold in the javelin throw being the highlight. And now we are close to the Paris Olympics 2024, where India aims to continue their rising medal tally as well as the contingent.

Indian athletes in Olympics 2024

India did have a great outing at the last Olympics in Tokyo (2020) wherein 124 athletes won seven medals including that gold medal from Neeraj Chopra in the men’s javelin throw. It turned out to be the best medal haul for India at the Olympics.

Seeing their 2020 performance and an inspirational one at the Asiad, India will be sending more athletes this time around and will be hoping for a record haul. The NOC (National Olympic Committee) of every country have designated authority for their representation at the Olympics, that sees athletes’ participation solely depend on the country’s NOC.
