A few days ago, Mayweather began his trip to Africa in Zimbabwe, where he had been invited by well-known businessman and boxing fan Scott Sakupwanya. As he advocates for more Africans to own their property, especially here in SA, he also discusses his visit to the country and the goals he has for it.

During the press interview, he said “It’s all about giving back and it’s about growth and I want to see more people in South Africa have more ownership. We are in Johannesburg, it’s all about like myself, I own my career, I won myself, I became my own boss and even in America, it’s about real estate,”.

People seem to not agree with Floyd Mayweather’s statement, as there was numerous comment against him, some of them on Twitter wrote, “Wait until he gets robbed or kidnapped”, while someone else wrote, “ There is no ownership of land under EFF.”

While there were others who supported his vision for his land, “He quietly becoming a leader”.

Mayweather is also focused on being a promoter and a businessman through his firm, the TMT. He thinks that the African continent has so much boxing potential that it may be widely promoted.
