Less than a week ago, Roger Federer announced that he would hang up his boots after playing the Laver Cup this year and during his press conference on Wednesday, he confirmed that he will feature in the tournament only in the doubles. While a possible pair-up with Rafael Nadal was expected, the Laver Cup has confirmed it by releasing the line-up for Day 1 of the tournament much to the delight of the fans.
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal shared one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the sport over the last two decades as they have played some of the greatest Tennis matches while facing each other in the singles in the past. However both the players share a great camaraderie off the Tennis court and have a great friendship and it will be only fitting that Nadal partners Federer for his final game of his glittering 24-year career.
