After winning the silver medal at the Paris Olympics, India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra, is back. The Haryanvi javelin thrower will be participating in the Diamond League meet on Thursday.
Neeraj Chopra achieved his season’s best with a throw of 89.35 metres at the Paris Olympics to clinch silver. This season, he didn’t participate in most of the Diamond League events due to a groin injury. The only time he competed in the Diamond League was in Doha, where he recorded a throw of 88.36 metres.
This is the last Diamond League of the season. The javelin thrower will take a break of two months after this competition. He might go for surgery during this time.

Neeraj Chopra will compete in the Lausanne Diamond League on Thursday, 22 August 2024. His event is scheduled to start at 12:22 AM IST on 23 August.
