On the other hand, World No.1 Viktor Axelsen defeated India’s Kidambi Srikanth in straight sets to continue his smashing form in the tournament. He will be aiming to win yet another BWF title after winning the Indonesia Open last year.

The latter can take some positives from his victory against Indonesia’s Ginting whom he defeated 21-7, 21-9 in the second round to carry his momentum against Prannoy.
