Korea Masters 2022 LIVE: DRAWS After the Korea Open 2022, the Korea Masters Tournament will begin on 12th April. The badminton tournament is part of the BWF Super 300 series and is making its return after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Follow Korea Masters live updates on InsideSport.IN

Top Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth is the top seed in the tournament. The other seeded Indian in the singles is Parupalli Kashyap, who is the No.8 seed in men’s singles. However, Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu won’t take part in the tournament.

The annual badminton tournament will be the ninth tournament of the 2022 BWF World Tour, which had been held since 2007. This year marks the 14th edition of the tournament.

Korea Masters 2022 Prize Money: 

The total prize money is US$360,000. Singles winners will get $13,500, while Doubles champions will get a total of $14,220.

Men’s Singles

Kidambi Srikanth is the top seed and he is placed in an easy draw where compatriot Parupalli Kashyap is the other seeded player. Srikanth begins his campaign against China’s unseeded Li Shifeng. Meanwhile. Kashyap kickstarts his campaign as the eighth seed by facing China’s Weng Hongyang.

Other men’s singles players from India includes Chirag Sen, who will face fifth seed Heo Kwang-hee in the first round. Kiran George faces unseeded Youcef Sabri Medel in the opening round. While Rahul Yadav Chittaboina takes on Victor Svendensen.

Men’s Doubles 

The Men’s Doubles draw has MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila as the seventh seed, while Krishna Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan are the eighth seed. Garaga and Vishnu start the tournament against Goh Shem and Low Juan Shen. Arjun-Kapila kickstart their campaign against Malaysia’s Nur Azriyn Ayub and Lim Khim Wah.

India also has three other pairs in PS Ravikrishna & SP Udayakumar, Bokka Navaneeth & Sumeeth Reddy and Ishan Bhatnagar & Sai Pratheek.

Women’s Draw

Saina Nehwal’s participation in the tournament is not yet clear as she has pulled out of the Korea Open last week. If Saina is participating in this tournament, she will be facing Japan’s Aya Ohori in her opening contest.

India also have Malavika Bansod, who will play against Ksenia Polikarpova in the first round. Tanya Hemnath will take on eight seed Yeo Jia Min. While Samia Farooqui and Sri Krishna Kudaravalli will face each other in the opening round.

Women’s Doubles 

In the Women’s Doubles Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy are the third seed. They have received a bye in the first round.

Mixed Doubles 

In the mixed doubles Ashwini Ponnappa partners with Sumeeth Reddy and the pair will take on Korea’s Kim Young-hyuk and Kim Hye-jeong in the first round. Meanwhile, Sai Pratheek and Sikki Reddy are partnering together and they will face Israel’s Misha Zilberman and Svetlana Zilberman in the opening contest.
