Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has lauded Sumit Nagal as the Indian tennis star made his way into the main draw of the Australian Open 2024. Securing a triumphant victory with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-4, Nagal successfully eliminated Alex Molcan in his third and ultimate Australian Open 2024 men’s singles qualifying match. This win marks his entry into the main draw for the fourth time in his career.

“Fantastic to see @nagalsumit securing a spot in the Australian Open main draw. Best of luck and keep smashing them”, Dinesh Karthik wrote on X (formerly Twitter),

Nagal, positioned at 139th in the world singles rankings, boasts familiarity with the prestigious arenas of tennis. He previously graced the main rounds of both the 2019 and 2020 US Opens and also participated in the main draw of the 2021 Australian Open.
