The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has partnered with YouTube to expand the global visibility of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, enhancing the coverage provided by official broadcasters.

From 28 August to 8 September, the Paralympics YouTube channel will feature Paralympic Games coverage live in 175 countries. Youtube will feature extensive live broadcasts, replays, highlights, creator content, and athlete profiles. This content will be available for free in 175 markets and territories worldwide.

Highlights include the following

  • Live Coverage: Nearly 1,400 hours of live coverage from all 22 Paralympic sports, including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
  • Multiview: YouTube will introduce Multiview globally for the first time, allowing viewers to watch up to four simultaneous streams from the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This feature has previously been used for events like the NFL and Coachella, as well as some regions during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
  • Clips and Highlights: Daily clips from every race, contest, and match—over 1,200 clips in total—will be available on the Paralympics YouTube channel. These clips will be easily accessible through “Official Cards” on the search page.
  • YouTube Shorts: The IPC will produce nearly 400 YouTube Shorts featuring memorable sporting moments and up to 40 athlete profiles throughout the Games.
  • Rising Phoenix: Road to Tokyo: A three-part series that follows 12 elite Para athletes from 11 countries as they prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. This series is part of the Rising Phoenix ‘Universe’, created by the Emmy Award-winning team behind Harder Than You Think.

Mike Peters, IPC Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Our partnership with YouTube for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will amplify the global reach of this transformative sporting event and engage new audiences with the incredible performances of Paralympians.”
