Sindhu sealed yet another come from behind win to make it to the final 4. However, youngster Sai Praneeth lost to World No.2 Victor Axelsen who had also ousted India’s Kidambi Srikanth in straight sets. Praneeth was no match to Axelsen who clinched the game in straight sets of 21-12 and 21-8. It was his fourth straight loss to Danish professional. The match lasted for just 36 minutes. Meanwhile, the pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty defeated the Malaysian pair Sze Fei Goh & Nur Izzuddin in straight sets to enter the semifinals.

The Indian duo defeated the team of Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin from Malaysia by 21-19, 21-19 in a closely contested battle at Court 2 in 43 minutes. The Malaysian duo quickly went off the blocks as they headed into the first mid-game interval with an 11-6 advantage. But Rankireddy-Shetty rallied and clinched the first game after leveling it on 19-19.
The second game played out the same way as the earlier one. Fei and Izzuddin went into mid-game interval with a thin 11-10 lead. Indians then came back stronger and gained a healthy 18-13 lead. But the Malaysian pair showed their extreme composure to level the match at 19-19. In the end, Indian shuttlers held their nerves to clinch the game and match by winning two points straight.
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will now clash with Kevin Sukamuljo and Marcus Gideon of Indonesia for a place in the final.

Indonesia Open LIVE- PV Sindhu (IND) vs Yu Jin Sim (South Korea)
PV Sindhu moved closer to achieving her maiden BWF title in 2021 as he qualified for the semi-final with a come from behind win over Korea’s Yu Yin Sim. The two-time Olympic medallist Indian rallied back to defeat South Korea’s Sim Yujin by 14-21, 21-19, 21-14 in a titanic 1 hour and 6 minutes match. The 22-year-old Korean started quick off the blocks as she won the first game against the reigning world champion by 21-14 in 17 minutes.
Sindhu then showed her immense composure as she fought back and won the second game 21-19 in a close affair to force the match into the decider. The third game was level at 11-11 and the essay could have landed either way but the South Korean wasn’t able to hold her nerve as Sindhu clinched the final game by 21-14 in the end.

Olympic champion and former world number one Viktor Axelsen of Denmark defeated Praneeth by 21-12, 21-8 in just 36 minutes. The Indian shuttler was never able to gain momentum as the second-seed Viktor took the first game without any resistance. Danish player then continued his demolition of the Indian and took the second game by 21-8.
Axelsen will now clash with the sixth-seed Jonatan Christie of Indonesia for the place in the final.
