Indonesia Open Day 1 Highlights: Lakshya Sen, P Kashyap knocked out: India’s ace shuttler Lakshya Sen was knocked out of the ongoing Indonesia Open after he lost to World No. 1 Kento Momota in a closely fought match. Lakshya lost the match in two straight sets. Earlier in the day, P Kashyap also bowed out in the opening round after he lost to Loh Kean Yew in the Round of 32 Clash. While Lakshya Sen lost the match after putting up a good fight against the top seed Kento Momota, P Kashyap was not too impressive in his game against Kean Yew. Lakshya Sen lost the game 21-23, 15-21 while P Kashyap was defeated 11-21, 14-21.

Lakshya Sen loses to Kento Momota 21-23, 15-21

India shuttler Lakshya Sen on Tuesday bowed out of the ongoing Indonesia Masters. World number one Kento Momota defeated Lakshya Sen 23-21, 21-15 in a match that lasted for 53 minutes.

Parupallli Kashyap loses 11-21, 14-21 to Loh Kean Yew

Parupalli Kashyap bowed out of the ongoing Indonesia Open on Tuesday. Kashyap suffered a defeat against Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew. The Indian shuttler suffered an 11-21, 14-21 defeat in the match that lasted for 32 minutes.

In the entire game, Kashyap failed to leave his mark and he stumbled to a straight-game loss.

Venkat Gaurav Prasad/Juhi Dewangan vs Jones Ralfy Jansen/Linda Efler (MD)
India mixed doubles pair of Venkat Gaurav Prasad and Juhi Dewgan were handed a heavy defeat by the German duo of Linda Efler and Jones Ralfy Jansen. Gaurav and Juhi lost the game in straight games of 12-21, 4-21 and thus were knocked out of the tournament.
Arjun Ramachandran/Dhruv Kapila vs Choi Sol-gyu/ Kim Won-ho

The men’s doubles pair of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila suffered a loss and as a result, the duo bowed out of the tournament. South Korea’s duo of Choi SoI Gyu and Kim Won Ho defeated Arjun and Kapila 22-20, 21-13. The entire game lasted for just 41 minutes.
