Indonesia Masters LIVE – HS Prannoy stuns Viktor Axelsen: HS Prannoy pulled off a shocking victory against former World No 1 and current World No 2 Viktor Axelsen in a round of 16 match in the Indonesia Masters on Thursday. Meanwhile, PV Sindhu had to sweat it out but eventually clinched a thrilling win over her little-known Spanish opponent Clara Azurmendi to seal a place in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Masters. HS Prannoy in quarters: HS Prannoy came back from a 14-21 result in the first game. Despite struggling in the 2nd game, Prannoy managed to hold on to his nerves and take the game 21-19. In the decider, Prannoy didn’t leave anything to chance and clinched the game 21-16.

The performance of the day from India came in from Kidambi Srikanth who defeated Jonathan Christie of Indonesia to enter quarterfinals. Meanwhile Indian youngster Lakshya Sen went down fighting to World No. 1 Kento Momota.

HS Prannoy stuns Viktor Axelsen: HS Prannoy made the day eventful with a win over World No. 2 Viktor Axelsen in the Round of 16 Clash. Prannoy made a comeback after being 0-1 down and won consecutive games to seal the match. He defeated Axelsen, 14-21, 21-19, 21-16.

Sindhu Enter Quarterfinals: Sindhu who has got great draw at Indonesian masters will now take on Turkey’s Neslihan YIGIT for a place in Last 4. Shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy will soon be in action as they will take on Jonathan Christie (INA) & Viktor Axelsen (DEN) later in the day.

Kidambi Srikanth stuns Jonathan Christie 13-21, 21-18, 21-15: Continuing from his good show in Germany, Srikanth stunned 6th seed Jonathan Christie to enter quarterfinals in Indonesia. Srikanth lost the 1st game 13-21 but came back to strongly to surprise Asian Champion from Indonesia. Srikanth will now play the winner of HS Prannoy vs Viktor Axelsen for place in the Semis.

Lakshya lose to Momota 12-21, 19-21: It was 1st time that 20 year old Lakshya Sen was playing World No. 1 Kento Momota of Japan. In the 1st game, Lakshya could not match the pace and accuracy of Japanese but 2nd game turned out to be humdinger. Lakshya at one point of time was leading 16-10 but Momota overcame the deficit to beat the Indian 21-19.
