They secured a straightforward win against Indonesia’s Adnan Maulana and Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, with scores of 21-18, 21-14. Their next challenge is against Malaysia’s Pang Ron Hoo and Su Yin Cheng.

In women’s doubles, Crasto teamed up with Ashwini Ponnappa to advance to the second round, defeating Thailand’s Ornnicha Jongsathapornparn and Sukitta Suwachai 21-6, 21-14. However, the Indian mixed doubles pair of Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde faced defeat, losing their match to England’s Gregory Mairs and Jenny Mairs.

Disappointing show in singles

On the women’s side, Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj and Tanya Hemanth also faced early exits in their respective matches. Later in the day, Lakshya Sen and Priyanshu Rajawat were set to compete against Japanese opponents.
