India’s young tennis sensation: Kriish Tyagi achieves new career-high in ITF junior rankings

Kriish Tyagi, India’s rising tennis star, achieves a career-high ranking of World No. 58 in the ITF Junior Rankings after winning the Uzbekistan J200 title.

Kriish Tyagi, the 17-year-old rising star of Indian tennis, has achieved a career-high World No. 58 in the Junior ITF Rankings. The Bengaluru lad made a significant leap in the rankings after winning the Uzbekistan J200 title last week.

India’s Top 10 ITF Junior Rankings

Kriish Tyagi leads the Indian juniors, ranking 58th in the ITF, followed by Rethin Pranav at 102. Most players in the top 10 fall within the 16-18 age group, with Hitesh Chauhan and Aradhya Kshitij being the youngest at 16.

Kriish Tyagi’s Achievements

Hailing from Sarjapur, Tyagi took up tennis at the age of 10 and has since achieved remarkable success in national-level championships. In 2021, he clinched the under-14 national title, and in the following year, he triumphed in both the under-16 and under-18 categories. He has now moved on to compete in international tournaments, continuing to make his mark.
