India’s skeet mixed team to play bronze medal match against China

India’s Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh Naruka have qualified for the mixed skeet team bronze medal match and will now face China's Jiant Yiting and Lyu Jianlin.

India will compete for another medal as the skeet mixed team of Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Maheshwari Chauhan has reached the bronze medal play-off. They secured this spot after finishing fourth in the qualification round and will face China today at 6:30 PM.

Qualification round performance

The Indian pair initially tied for second place with a score of 49, sharing the position with Australia, Korea, France, and two Italian teams.

  • First Round: Anantjeet Singh Naruka achieved a perfect 25/25, while Maheswari Chauhan scored 24/25, bringing India’s total to 49.
  • Second Round: Maheswari Chauhan scored a perfect 25, but Naruka missed two shots in the 2nd and 5th series, scoring 23. This brought their aggregate to 48.
  • Third Round: Both shooters performed well, with Maheswari scoring 25 and Naruka 24, resulting in a score of 49 for this round.

India earned a total of 146/150 in the skeet mixed team qualification and progressed to the bronze medal match.
