Andy Murray vs Radu Albot
Andy Murray is aiming to reach third round at the Indian Wells Masters. Maurray, who has been giving a fight in all his matches right from the start of the season clinched his first round win with a come-from-behind 6-7, 6-1, 6-4 win against Tomas Etcheverry. He will now take on Radu Albot.
Radu Albot meanwhile entered the second round as the lucky losers after playing in the qualifiers. It will be his first match of the Indian Wells campaign.

Taylor Fritz is the fourth seed in the tournament. He started the year with a second round defeat at the Australian Open. He then reached semifinals at Dalls Open and Mexican Open and managed to win the title at Delray Beach Open. He is set to face his compatriot Ben Shelton in the second round at Indian Wells.
20-year old Ben Shelton meanwhile had a breakthrough season this year. He went all the way to the quarterfinals at the Australian Open. However he enetered Indian Wells after bowing out from the first round at Delray Beach Open and Mexican Open. In the first round at Indian Wells, he defeated Fabio Fognini in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.

Holger Rune vs Mackenzie McDonald
19-year old Holger Rune is the seventh seed in the Indian Wells. He enters the ATP Masters 1000 event after making it to the semifinals at Mexican Open last week.
Mackenzie McDonald meanwhile began the tournament with a 6-3, 6-0 win against Filip Krajinovic. McDonald grabbed headlines earlier this year this year by defeating Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open in the second round. He bowed out from the Grand Slam event in trhe third round. His best performance so far this year is reaching the semifinals at Delray Beach Open.

World No.2 Carlos Alcaraz enters the tournament as the favourite. Despite having injury concerns, the top seed has affirmed that he is fully fit and is gering up to face Thanasi Kokkinakis in the first round. He began the season at the Argentina Open and won the title straightaway. He also finished as runner-up at the Rio OOpen.
Thanasi Kokkinakis meanwhile made it to the second round after defeating Brandon Holt in straight sets. He had to play in the qualifiers to reach the main draw. His best performance this year is reaching the semifinals at Adelaide International 2.

Top seed Iga Swiatek is on a nine-match win streak and enters the Indian Wells Masters as the overwhelming favourite. The 21-year old Pole won back-to-back titles in Qatar Open and Dubai Tennis Championships, before reaching the Indian Wells. She is all set to begin her campaign in the WTA 1000 event as she faces Claire Liu in the first round.
Claire Liu clinched a straight set win against Anna Schmiedlova in the first round at Indian Wells. The American failed to go past the second round in any tournament she played this year.
Ons Jabeur vs Magdalena Frech
Fourth seed Ons Jabeur is all set to make her return to the ATP Tour after the Australian Open. The Tunisian, who is the second seed will play against Magdalena Frech in the second round. Jabeur began the year with a semifinal appearance at Adelaide International. She then bowed out from the second round at Australia Open.
Magdalena Frech entered the main draw after playing the qualifiers. In the first round she clinched a three-set win against Maryna Zanevska to set up clash with Jabeur.
