The last Olympic qualifying round for men’s and women’s hockey ended on Sunday, January 21. On Monday, the groups for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games were announced. A total of 12 countries qualified to compete in the Paris Olympics 2024. Great Britain, Belgium and Germany’s teams qualified for both the men’s and women’s events. Ireland and New Zealand qualified for the men’s edition, while Japan and the United States join the women’s tournament.

The final pool of nations to qualify for the Olympic Games in field hockey was determined by the FIH’s Olympic Qualifiers, which were held in four tournaments from January 13-21 in Muscat (Oman), Valencia (Spain) and Ranchi (India).
With only a few days to recover from their exertion in reaching the top three spots in the qualifying round, it is time to begin planning for the group stages of the hockey tournament, which will take place from July 27th to August 9th at Yves-du-Manoir stadium.
Here are the Pools for Paris 2024 Olympic hockey tournaments:
Women’s Tournament:
Pool A: Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Japan, China, France
Pool B: Australia, Argentina, Great Britain, Spain, United States, South Africa
Men’s Tournament:
Pool A: Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, France, South Africa
Pool B: Belgium, India, Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, Ireland
The participating teams have been allocated to their respective Pools on the basis of the FIH World Rankings on 21 January 2024.
