Hockey India has unveiled the 24-member Indian Men’s Hockey Team for the upcoming FIH Pro League 2023-24, scheduled to take place in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. The Bhubaneswar leg is set to begin on February 10 and conclude on February 16, followed by the Rourkela leg starting on February 19 and ending on February 25.
The Indian team, led by Captain Harmanpreet Singh and Vice Captain Hardik Singh, will face Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, and Australia twice each during both legs. The campaign kicks off against Spain on February 10.
In goalkeeping, Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran and Krishan Bahadur Pathak will shoulder the responsibilities. The defensive lineup includes Harmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Jarmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Sumit, Sanjay, Jugraj Singh, and Vishnukant Singh.
The midfield section features Hardik Singh, Manpreet Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Shamsher Singh, Rajkumar Pal, Nilakanta Sharma, and Rabichandra Singh Moirangthem.
The forward line showcases the striking capabilities of Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Mandeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, Abhishek, Akashdeep Singh, and Araijeet Singh Hundal, the recent debutant during the South Africa tour. All matches of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2023-24 will be streamed on JioCinema, with India’s matches additionally broadcast on Sports18 – Khel.
