India Women’s Hockey team aim to end their German tour on a winning note. The Savita Punia led side will face hosts Germany at Russelsheim on 19th July 2023, Wednesday. The match is scheduled to begin at 9.00 PM. Having lost two matches in the tour so far, India is eyeing a comeback win in their preparatory tour ahaead of the Asian Games 2023.

It will be the second successive match for India against Germany. The Women in Blue went down 1-4 in the previous game on Tuesday. The visitors now eye a comeback. This will be their last game before they make their way to the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation International tournament that is set to get underway on 25th July.
Germany completely dominated the proceedings in the last game as they took a 2-0 lead within the first quarter. Indian defence will need to put in the hard yards against the German attack.
Vaishnavi Vittal Phalke was the lone scorer in the previous game and the other attackers also have to step up and ensure they put enough presseure on the German defence.
For Germany meanwhile Nike Lorenz and Jette Fleschutz were the goal-scorers in the previous game. Both the players scored brace and they will look to continue the good form .
