Earlier, India had a disappointing start paddlers Bhavina Patel- Sonal Patel crashed out of women’s doubles in Table Tennis event. After Avani Lekhara’s heroics on Monday, the Indian shooting contingent will be aiming to replicate the 19-year-old’s heroics when the trio of Manish Narwal, Deepender Singh, Singhraj compete in the Men’s 10m air pistol SH1. Narwal ranks fourth in the world in his category and will be India’s biggest draw in the category. Deepender Singh another multiple international event cham will also be hoping to make his mark along with Singhraj, who won the gold medal in the 2021 Para Shooting World Cup

Rubina Francis is currently ranked fifth in the world, and the youngster clinched the gold medal in the 10m air pistol event for women at the ongoing Para Sport Cup in Peru. She set a new world record in the process and will be aiming for a podium finish in Tokyo.

Thangavelu and Varun Singh Bhati will look to make it back to back medals after his Rio Paralympics triumph, while Sharad Kumar will look to add an Olympic medal to his Asian Para Games titles.

Tokyo Paralympics Day 7: Athletics –Women’s 100m T13 – Simran Sharma @7:08 AM IST

Simran Sharma won a gold medal in the China Grand Prix in 2019. Later, in 2021 February, she won gold in the World Para Grand Prix Dubai 2021. She became the first woman to qualify in the 100m at the Tokyo Paralympics and will be aiming for a strong finish in her heat and qualify for the finals.

Paralympics Day 7: Athletics – Women’s Shot Put F34 – Bhagyashri Madavrao Jadhav @6:56 AM IST

Bhagyashri Jadhav qualified for the Tokyo Paralympics after an inspired performance in the national trials and will look to replicate it on the international stage. Making her Olympics debut, Jadhav will look to make the most of her opportunity but will need to do a lot better than her season-best of 6.18 to make the podium.

Paralympics Day 7- Table Tennis: Women’s team class 4-5 – India vs China – Bhavina Patel, Sonalben Patel @8:00 AM

Bhavina Patel will hope to replicate her heroics from the individual event when she sets herself up for the team’s event with Sonalben Patel. Bhavina won the silver medal in the individual event, while Sonalben Patel crashed out in the group stage, losing two games out of her three. The duo will take on China’s Zhang Miao and Zhang Bian on Tuesday.

Tokyo Paralympics Day 7 – Archery: Rakesh Kumar vs Marian Marecak – 7:12 AM

Veteran archer Rakesh Kumar clinched his place in the pre-quarterfinals as he overcame Ka Chuen Ngai of Hong Kong by a massive 13-point margin at Yumenoshima Park. The 36-year-old third seed had won the individual gold medal at the 7th Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament in Dubai earlier this year and ended with 699 out of a maximum 720 – the most by an Indian para archer in the qualification round. He will take on Slovakia’s 14th seed Marian Marecak, in what should be a comfortable outing on Tuesday.
