India at Tokyo Olympics – Sania Mirza at the Olympics: The mother of a two-year-old kid, Sania Mirza, will be making her fourth appearance in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Previously Saina had represented India at the Beijing, London and Rio Olympics. By making an appearance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she will become only 3rd female athlete from India who has participated in the four Olympic Games.

She was the poster girl of Indian tennis, and she qualified for both women’s singles and doubles at the Olympics. She started her campaign in women’s doubles by partnering with Sunitha Rao, and they got knocked out in the round of 32. In singles, she pulled out of her match due to a wrist injury, which also took her into depression for 3-4 months.

In women’s doubles, Sania Mirza partnering with Prarthana Thombare lost in the first round.
