India at Tokyo Olympics LIVE: Wrestling- Bajrang Punia to battle for bronze- Men’s freestyle 65kg Bronze medal match; Live Stream, Scores, Date, Time, All you need to know – Bajrang Punia will fight for the bronze after his gold medal hopes were dashed brutally in the semi-finals. World No.1 Punia, was one of India’s biggest hopes for a gold medal at the Summer Games, was knocked out by Azerbaijan’s Haji Aliyev and will now fight for bronze on Saturday.
Punia struggled in the quarter-finals as well but got through on the thinnest of margins in his opening round against Ernazar Akmataliev. The score was tied at 3-3, but the referees ruled in favour of Bajrang, because of the highest scoring move. The 27-year-old will have to be at his very best if he has to win a medal on his Olympic debut, and add another bronze to India’s tally.
