India at Paris Paralympics: Day 5 schedule, Sumit Antil eyes another gold

Day 5 at the Paralympics features top Indian athletes in shooting, athletics, archery, and badminton.

Day 5 (September 2) at the Paralympics is set to be special for India, with many top players competing for medals. India will have events in shooting, athletics, archery, and badminton. In shooting, Nihal Singh and Amir Ahmad Bhat will compete in the Mixed 25m Pistol SH1 event. In athletics, Yogesh Kathuniya, Deepthi Jeevanji, and Sumit Antil will be the top contenders for medals. Javeling player and world record holder Sumit Antil will be eying for another gold. He clinched the gold in the Tokyo Paralympics.

In archery, both world number 1s from India will compete in the mixed team compound open, with Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar teaming up. In badminton, Nitesh Kumar will fight for the bronze medal against a silver medallist from Great Britain, Daniel Bethell.
