India at Paris Paralympics 2024: In archery, India’s Pooja has stormed into archery quarter-finals in the women’s Individual recurve open. While, star shooter Avani Lakhera entered the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 final, she finished fifth and missed out on a medal. Bhagyashree Jadhav, India’s flag bearer in opening ceremony, missed out on medal in women’s shot put F34 final.

Deepthi Jeevanji brought the first medal of the day as she pocketed a bronze medal in the women’s 400m T20 final.
