India at Paris Paralympics 2024, Day 2: Thulasimathi enters playoffs, Nithya Sre wins easy

The Paris Paralympics offer a unique opportunity for Indian para-athletes to showcase their incredible abilities to a global audience.

Team India started day 2 of the Paris Paralympics on an excellent note as it was raining medals on Friday. The first to bring a medal for the country in the competition from Mona Agarwal & Avani Lekahara, who started the proceedings by bagging a bronze and gold in the women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1. Then Preethi Pal bagged a bronze in the women’s 100m T35 event, and then Manish Narwal made the country proud with a silver in Men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 Final.

India’s para-athletes are ready to make their mark at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Coming off a successful Tokyo Games with 19 medals, the Indian contingent is aiming even higher this time, targeting a record haul of 25 medals.

    • Women’s 100m-T35 Final: Preethi Pal
