India at Paris Paralympics: Navdeep wins gold after Iranian athlete’s disqualification, Simran bags bronze

On Day 10 of the Paris Paralympics 2024, Indian para-athletes secured two medals, including a gold.

Indian para-athletes had a busy day ahead at the Paris Paralympics. India’s Navdeep Singh and Simran Sharma each secured a medal in their respective events, bringing India’s total medal count to 29 at the Paris Paralympics. Navdeep won gold in the Men’s Javelin F41 final with a personal best throw of 47.32m, following the disqualification of Iran’s Sadegh Beit Sayah, who had initially been in first place. Simran earned bronze in the Women’s 200m T12 race. Later in the day, Dilip Gavit finished in 8th place in the Men’s 400m T47 final.
