How will athletes beat the heat at Paris Olympics?

With just a few days left before the mega event, Paris Olympics organizers have come up with a new idea to maintain a comfortable temperature at the Olympic Village.

The Paris Olympics 2024 are set to be a major event with enormous expectations, particularly regarding the Olympic Village, which is currently the talk of the town. The village is prepared to accommodate over 10,000 athletes and features numerous amenities for their comfort. With the Games starting soon, and reports predicting that the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics could be the hottest on record, a key question being discussed is how athletes will cope with the heat and adjust to the temperature.

Olympic Games village cooling system

The village is located in a northern suburb of Paris and is constructed with environment-friendly technology to meet environmental needs, including a geothermal cooling system. The organizers have implemented a unique technique to cool the village, combining ventilation and shading devices to keep the living quarters, dining areas, and training facilities cool. Also, there are 2,500 temporary air conditioners set up in the village, which includes a total of 7,000 rooms.

USA, Denmark, & Australia to bring their own air conditioners

While the village has been seeking innovative cooling methods, a few countries, such as Japan, the United States, Australia, Denmark, and Canada, are set to bring their own air conditioners for their athletes. These air conditioners include features like advanced humidity control and air purification systems.
