HIL 2024-25 faces controversy as players await unpaid salaries, while franchise owners express dissatisfaction over unexpected financial losses in the league.

The Hockey India League (HIL) has returned after seven years, but it faces a new controversy now. Eventually the league is in debate now as some players are still waiting for their salaries as the dues are unpaid. According to a report by My Khel, players are complaining because even a month after the tournament ended, they have not received their full payments. A player from the first Women’s HIL held in January has only received 20% of her payment. Now, the President of Hockey India, Dilip Tirkey has confirmed this issue.
