The rivalry between Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem is known to one and all. And the epic rivalry unfolded yesterday at the Paris Olympics in the javelin finals. The two ace athletes fought hard with the Pakistani star emerging victorious and clinching the gold medal. Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic record twice yesterday. His magnanimous throw of 92.97 m was enough for him to clinch the coveted yellow medal. Neeraj on the other hand, finished second and took the silver with a throw of 89.45 m.
“I have been competing against Arshad since 2016, but this is the first time I have lost to him. But credit where credit is due, Arshad has worked really hard, and he was better than I was at night. Congratulations to him,” Neeraj said.
Neeraj Chopra didn’t have any hesitation in claiming that Arshad Nadeem was better on the night compared to him. He claimed that since 2016 the duo has been competing and this was the first time that Nadeem bettered Neeraj.
The Indian javelin star heaped huge praises to his counterpart claiming Arshad trained hard and it has reaped the much desirable results.
