Hawks vs Mavericks: Atlanta Hawks dominate Dallas Mavericks, defeat them 113-87 in the opening game of NBA 2021/22 season- This matchup is less of a competition and more of a confrontation between the league’s youngest, brightest stars: Luka Doncic and Trae Young. There was a trade on the draft night between the two teams, and people cannot help but wonder what it would look like if the players were on each other’s teams.

The Mavericks were completely inferior in their first game under Kidd, who had not been a head coach since he was fired in Milwaukee during the 2017-18 season.
A member of the NBA’s 75th-anniversary team, Kidd took over in Dallas after longtime coach Rick Carlisle stepped down on the heels of a first-round playoff loss last season.
