Novak Djokovic career: Born in Serbia, Novak Djokovic began playing tennis since he was 4 and turned professional in 2003. In his 19 year career, Djokovic has won 20 Grand Slam titles, including a record 9 Australian Open Crowns, 6 Wimbledon titles, three US Open titles and 2 French Open titles.

Djokovic recently lifted the Italian Open title last week and is all set to compete at the French Open this week. The 35-year-old is the defending champion and will look equal Nadal’s tally of 21 Grand Slams with the win in Paris.

Djokovic married his high school girlfriend Jelena in 2014 and the couple two children.  The Serbian ace speaks fluently in five languages and is a practicing vegan. The 35-year-old founded the Novak Djokovic foundation in 2007 to help underprivileged children attain the right education they deserve. As of 2022, the foundation has impacted the life of more than 20,000 kids.

Djokovic controversies: The World No. 1 has had his fair share of controversies, and is well known for his different take on things. Djokovic is a believer in Chinese medicine and acupuncture and thinks that the human body can naturally heal. The 35-year-old infamously protested against compulsory vaccination for COVID-19, in a saga which saw him deported from Australia on the eve of the Australian Open.
