Devin Haney, the undisputed lightweight champion, will compete against Vasiliy Lomachenko, the three-division world champion, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday.

At 10 pm ET/7 pm PT, the eagerly awaited showdown will be broadcast live on ESPN+ PPV. The cost of the pay-per-view will be $59.99.

The Dream’ Haney will go up against former unified lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko in his second defence of the belt. After a straightforward victory over George Kambosos in 2022, Haney clinched the title as the uncontested champion. The great Vasiliy Lomachenko will present Haney with his most difficult opponent to date, making this event anything but normal. It will be one of the best fights boxing can produce this year.

Haney is seeking the top spot in the lightweight division and is prepared and willing to compete whenever. The former lightweight champion Lomachenko is at the door of the 24-year-old, as promised. and anticipating the victor? a potential matchup against Davis, the current WBA (regular) lightweight champion, who is eager and competitive.

With Haney holding all of the division’s straps, Lomachenko is now acting as the challenger. Haney (29-0, 15 KO) earned his spot by twice defeating Lopez’s victor, George Kambosos. This fight is significant this weekend for a reason, but it was sufficient for him to be named unchallenged champion.  

Beating the man who beat the man doesn’t necessarily have the same public impact, fair or not. The true test for Haney will come against Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KO), who was once considered a serious contender for the title of best boxer in the world outside of weight classes.
