Hamburg European Open LIVE: Two weeks after the conclusion of the Wimbledon, an ATP 500 tournament is all set to kick-start on Monday, 23rd July 2023. The clay court event will feature top stars like Casper Ruud, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev and defending champion Lorenzo Musetti. Meanwhile it will be a WTA 250 event. Donna Vekic and Mayar Sherif are the top two seeds.

Men’s Singles
Casper Ruud headlines first quarter
Top seed Casper Ruud is the top seed in the tournament. Playing on his favourite surface, Ruud is the favourite to clinch the title at Hamburg. He will begin his campaign by facing Sebastian Baez in the first round. He is expected to make it to the quarterfinal without any fuss.
Miomir Kecmanovic is the other seeded player in the quarter. The eighth seeded Serbian will face compatriot Dusan Lajovic in the first round. Hugo Delien and Arthur Fils are the other players in the same quarter. Both of them will begin their campaign against a qualifier.
Alexander Zverev leads second quarter
Alexander Zverev will enter the tournament after bowing out from the quarterfinal at Swedish Open. The German is the fourth seed and he faces Alex Molcan in the opening round. The draw also has two other Germans in Maximilian Marterer and Rudolf Molleker.
Seventh seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is the only other seeded player in the quarter. The Spaniard takes on Pedro Cachin in the first round. The other two players in the quarter are Luca van Assche and Alexandre Muller.
Defending champion Lorenzo Musetti in third quarter
Defending champion Lorenzo Musetti is the third seed. The Italian last played at the Swedish Open, where he bowed out from the semifinal. Musetti will face a qualifier in the first round.
Tomas Etcheverry is the sixth seed and he is coming off after a first round exit at the Swedish Open. The Argentine faces Laslo Djere in the opening round and looks to win his first game since the Wimbledon. Guido Pella and Juan Pablo Varillas will also be in action in the quarter. Both the players will face qualifiers in the first round.
Andrey Rublev headlines final quarter
Russia’s Andrey Rublev looks to win his second successive title. The Swedish Open champion will make his way into Hamburg as the second seed. He faces Spain’s Zapatta Miralles in the first round.
Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo is the only other seeded player. The fifth seed takes on Yannick Hanfmann in the opening round. The quarter also has Zhang Zhizhen, Daniel Altmaier and Richard Gasquet.
