The Game of Thrones actor Bjornsson is 6 feet and 9 inches tall and weighs around 205 kg. Hafthor Bjornsson the actor who played Ser Gregor ;The Mountain’ Clegane in Game of Thrones had announced that he is willing to register himself in powerlifting once again to break the current record of 1182.5 kg held by Dan Bell at 2023.

Björnsson raw deadlifted 395 kilogrammes (870.8 pounds) with a wide stance using a mixed grip on March 4, 2023. Later, in a friendly deadlift competition, Bell matched Bjornsson’s performance by yanking 395 kilogrammes (870.8 pounds) raw using a mixed grip and a narrow stance. The only equipment any athlete used was a lifting belt.

As he continues his strongman comeback, Bjornsson has claimed that he hopes to deadlift 439.4 kilogrammes (970 pounds) by the middle of April 2023. He’s already made significant progress towards his goal.

The Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio, and the Rogue Invitationals are on Bjornsson’s schedule, he said, in the year 2024, he plans to return to strongman and once again compete at the highest level. He declared, “I hope to compete in the Rogue Invitational and the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio.”

Therefore, I have decided to resume powerlifting. I’m training to set a new world record for raw powerlifting. Powerlifting consists of the squat, the bench press, and the deadlift. And I hope to beat the current record of 1182.5kg,” Hafthor said wrote on his YouTube channel.

In a recent YouTube video in Bjornsson channel, he has shared us some moments where we can see him performing Heavy bench and Squats on his Day 20 and 21 journey. He says he feels extremely tired because of the extra weight he has been putting but still has been pushing to attain his goal.

Fans have been going crazy over his transformation video as they commented,” The way he’s transformed his strength to his boxing physic in such a short space of time, there is no doubt this bloke will be breaking power records very soon.”
