This year marks the 69th edition of the tournament, which is scheduled to be played from 8th to 13th March. The tournament marks its return after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic

The total prize money for the tournament is US$180,000. Singles winners will get $13,500, while Doubles champions will get a total of $14,220.

  • World Championship silver medallist Srikanth Kidambi has been seeded eighth in the tournament.
  • He will face France’s Brice Leverdez in the first round. He is likely to face World No.1 Viktor Axelsen in the quarter-finals.
  • World Championship bronze medallist Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy are placed in the same group. Lakshya Sen will play Thailand’s Kantaphon Wangcharoen in the first round.
  • H.S Prannoy will face France’s Angus In-ka Long in the opening round. Both the Indians will face each other in the second round if they advance.
  • Parupalli Kashyap will face Thaliand’s Kunlavudt Viditsarn qualifies for the quarter-final, he will face No.2 seed Kento Momota

  • PV Sindhu, who is seeded seventh in this tournament will face Thaliand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the first round.
  • She is likely to face No.1 seed Tai Tzu Ying in the quarter-final as they are in the same group.
  • Saina Nehwal will be up against Singapore’s Yeo Jia Min in the first round. She will face eighth seed Ratchanok Intanon in the second round. If she wins it, she will has the possibility of facing second seed Akane Yamugachi in quarter-finals.

  • In men’s doubles, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have been seeded third and they have an easy draw. They will face Chinese pair Liu Yuche and Oui Xuanyi in the first round.
  • Dhruv Kapila and MR Arjun, will face sixth seed Malaysian pair Ong Yew Sin Teo Ee Yi in the first round.
  • In women’s doubles, Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy will face sixth seeded Japanese pair of Chiharu Shida and Nami Matsuyama in the first round.
