Vinesh Phogat
Vinesh Phogat has moved to the 50 kg category from 53 kg for the Paris Olympics; therefore, her ranking is not mentioned on the official site. However, she is a potential contender for a medal in the tournament.
Anshu Malik
Former Asian champion Anshu Malik has a ranking of 38. She will be competing in the 57 kg category. The 22-year-old Anshu defeated Kyrgyzstan’s Kalmira Bilimbek Kyzy to qualify for the event after winning a medal at Asian Olympic Qualifier.
Antim Panghal
Vinesh Phogat typically competes in the 53kg weight division but has moved down to the 50kg category since Antim Panghal secured a Paris 2024 quota for India in that division at last year’s World Championships. Antim is ranked 6th in the world in the 53kg category.
Reetika Hooda
Reetika Hooda has become the first Indian woman to qualify for the Olympics in the heavyweight (76kg) category. She has a world ranking of 54.
Nisha Dahiya
After defeating Alexandra Anghel of Romania in the 68kg semifinals of the World Olympic Qualifiers, Nisha Dahiya became the fifth wrestler from India to earn a spot at the Paris Olympics.
Aman Sehrawat
Aman Sehrawat is the only (men’s) wrestler qualified for the Olympics. He has a big responsibility to win a medal as the sole male representative from India in wrestling. Aman Sehrawat is ranked 6th in the current world rankings.
