The Sports Ministry announced the recipients of the Annual Sports Awards. Two Badminton players have been chosen for the highest honour, the Khel Ratna award, while 26 athletes will receive the Arjuna Award. Moreover, the ministry also approved five coaches for the regular Dronachaya award and three coaches for the life-time Dronachaya award.
The nominees for the awards were announced by a government committee on December 13th. The awards will be presented to the sportspersons and coaches on January 9th at Rashtrapati Bhavan by Droupadi Murmu, President of India.
