French Open 2023: World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz is all set to lead the Men’s Singles draw at the French Open 2023. The 20-year old Spaniard will enter his maiden Grand Slam tournament as the top seed. He will headline action in the first quarter. The draw has pitted Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic in the same half and both the plaers are likely to set up blockbuster semifinal clash. Carlos Alcaraz headlines first quarter
Section 1
Carlos Alcaraz will begin his campaign in the tournament by facing a qualifier in the first round. The top seed is likely to set up clash against 14th seed Cameron Norrie in the fourth round of the tournament. The other top seeds in the top section of the first quarter are 17th seed Lorenzo Musetti and 26th seed Denis Shapovalov.
Lorenzo Musetti begins his campaign by facing Mikael Ymer. Shapovalov meanwhile takes on USA’s Brandon Nakashima in the opening match. 14th seed Cameron Norrie will be up against wildcard entrant Benoit Paire in the first round.
Section 2
Fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas is the top seed in the second section of the draw in the first quarter. Tsistipas will begin his campaign by facing Jiri Vesely. Tsitsipas and Felix Auger Aliassime are likely to meet in the fourth round of the tournament. Aliassime is the 10th seed and he will be facing Fabio Fognini in the first round.
24th seed Sebastian Korda and 32nd seed Zapatta Miralles are the other seeded players in this section. Mackenzie McDonald, who defeated Rafael Nadal in the Australian Open will face Sebastian Korda in the first round.
Novak Djokovic leads second quarter
Section 3
Third seed Nobvak Djokovic is looking to win a record 23rd Grand Slam title. He is the third seed in the tournament and is present in the second quarter of the draws. He begins his campaign by facing USA’s Aleksandr Kovacevic in the first round.
Marton Fucsovics or Hugo Gremnier will be Djokovic’s opponents in the second round. The only other top seed in the top section of the third quarter is 13th seed Hubert Hurkcz. The Pole is likely to face Djokovic in the fourth round. Spaniards 19th seed Roberto Bautista Agut and 29th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina are the other seeded players in this section of the quarter.
Section 4
Russians Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov are present in the second section of the quarter. While Rublev is the fifth seed, Khachanov is seeded 11th. Both the Russians are likely to face each other in the fourth round.
Dan Evans and Ben Shelton are the only other seeded players in this section. Meanwhile, Thanasi Kokkinakis is also placed in this part of the draw. Kikkinakis has received a wildcard entry into the tournament. He will face Dan Evans in the first round. Stan Wawrinka is also present in this part of the quarter. The Swiss will take on Spain’s Albert Ramos Vinolas in the first round.

Section 5
Sixth seed Holger Rune will begin hios campaign in the tournament by facing Christopher Eubanks in the first round. Rune finished as runner-up at Italy last week and aims to extend his form in the Grand Slam event. Rune is likely to meet Gael Monfils or Sebastian Baez in the second round.
Ninth seed Tayor Fritz is also present in the same section of the draw and the American ius likely to set up a blockbuster clash against Holger Rune in the fourth round. Fritz faced Michael Mmoh in the first round. 23rd seed Franisco Cerundolo and 31st seed Miomir Kecmanovic are the other seeded players in this section of the draw.
Section 6
Fourth seed Casper Ruud leads the other section of the draw. Ruud, who finished as runner-up in last year’s edition enters the tournament this year as the fourth seed. He faces a qualifier in the first round. 16th seed Tommy Paul, 21st seed Jan Lennard Struff and 25th seed Botic van de Zandschulp are part of the quarter. Jan Lennard Struff and Jiri Lehecka will face win the first round.
Daniil Medvedev headlines fourth quarter
Section 7
Eighth seed Jannik Sinner is leading the top half of the final quarter. The Italian will face France’s Alexandre Muller in the first round. This part of the draw also has Alexander Zverev. Zverev bowed out from the semifinal of the tournament after suffering a gruesome injury while playing against Rafael Nadal. He is the 22nd seed in this year’s edition. The German will face Lloyd Harris in the first round.
12th seed Frances Tiafoe is also in this quarter and he might set up clash against Zverev in the third round of the tournament. Tiafoe faces Filip Krajinovic in the first round. 28th seed Grigor Dimitrov is the only other seeded player. He begins his campaign by facing a qualifier.
Section 8
Second seed Daniil Medvedev leads the final quarter of the draws. Medvedev will be facing a qualifier in the first round. The next top seeded payer in the section of the quarter is 15th seed Borna Coric. The Croatiaon will take on Federico Coria in the first round. Coric is expected to set up clash against Medvedev in the fourth round.
Former US Open champion Dominic Thiem is also present in this quarter. The unseeded Austrian will play against Pedro Cachin in the first round. 18th seed Alex de Minaur and 27th seed Yoshihito Nishioka are the other two seeded player in the quarter.
