Miomir Kecmanovic vs Daniil Medevdev
World No.2 Daniil Medvedev defeated Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the fourth round at the clay court major on Saturday. With the victory, Medvedev has won all his first three games in the tournament this year in straight sets.
The second seed produced a high-class display to ease past the World No. 31 Kecmanovic at the clay-court Grand Slam. The 26-year-old found a different level to his game in overcoming the challenge of Kecmanovic, however, a sign that the 13-time tour-level titlist is nearing his best after missing much of the European clay season due to a hernia procedure.
Mikeal Ymer vs Stefanos Tsitsipas
Mikael Ymer began his campaign in fine style with a straight-set win over Australian James Duckworth 6-2, 6-4, 6-2. The Swedish ace then followed it up with a four-set thriller, knocking out Britain’s Dan Evans 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to set up a clash against Tsitsipas.
The Greek ace meanwhile, who reached the finals of the Roland Garros last year, began his campaign with a come from behind win over Lorenzo Musetti in a five-set thriller. The World No. 4 then followed it up with a four-set win over Zdenek Kolar late on Thursday to seal his progress into the next round. Both Ymer and Tsitsipas have met thrice in their careers, with Tsitsipas winning all games so far.

Iga Swiatek extended her winning streak to 31 with a 6-3, 7-5 defeat of Danka Kovinic in the third round of Roland Garros, though the No.1 seed had to scrap hard to put away a dogged opponent over 1 hours and 30 minutes.
Swiatek, the champion here in 2020, has now reached the second week in all four of her Roland Garros appearances, and she has won 17 of her 19 matches at the tournament.

Third seed Paula Badosa is eyeing her maiden Grand Slam title as she faces Veronika Kudermetova in the third round. Badosa won her first round against Fian Ferro by dropping just two games, however she had to play a three-setter against Kaja Juvan in the second round to make it to the round of 32.
29th seed Kudermetova meanwhile played a three-setter in her opening round against Lin Zhu and won against Aleksandra Krunic in straight sets in the second round. Kudermetova is eyeing her maiden appearance in the fourth round of any Grand Slam event.
Jessica Pegula vs Tamara Zidansek
11th seed Jessica Pegula, who has been on a good form this year faces Tamara Zidansek in the third round. Pegula finished s runner-up in the Madrid Open this year. At Roland Garros, she defeated Wang Qiang in straight sets in the first round and then won a three-setter against Anhelina Kalinina in the second round.
Meanwhile, Zidansek entered the third round after her opponent Mayer Sherif withrew from the second round, without even playing it due to an injury. Zidansek defeated Claire Liu in straight sets in the first round.
