French Open 2021: Novak Djokovic enters quarterfinals after early scare from Lorenzo Musetti- The World No.1 Novak Djokovic has progressed to the quarterfinals after he fought back in the third set to keep him in the fray for his 21st Grand Slam at French Open. He came back in style, dropping just one point in the 3rd set and then followed it with 6-0 in another as the match entered the fifth set.
Musetti decided to walk off after trailing 0-4 in the last set.

In an intense battle against Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti led the contest with a straight-sets win over the Serbian after the first two sets. The battle entered straight sets tiebreaker where the Italian managed straight victories. The two sets ended 7-6 (7-9), 7-6 (7-2) in favour of Musetti.
The latter was aiming to progress to the quarterfinals for the first instance in French Open. He is coming into the contest after a tense five-round thriller against Marco Cecchinato. He had won the 1st and round in 3 sets finish against Y Nishioka and David Goffin respectively.
Djokovic, on the other hand, is eyeing the 19th grand slam title. He needs a French Open title to overtake Roger Federer in becoming the first man on the globe to win all four majors twice in his lifetime. He has emerged victorious in 3 sets contests over Ricardas Berankis, T Sandgren and P Cuevas in the last rounds. He is expected to dominate Musetti who needs to play out of his skin if he wants to emerge victorious.
Djokovic will next face Matteo Berrettini.
