There is no question that India was a favorite for gold in the men’s hockey event. From beating Great Britain to Australia, they did everything but lost to Germany by the narrowest of margins, 3-2 in semis. However, it is rightly said that an Olympic medal is a medal, whether it is bronze or gold. Now, the Indian hockey team has secured that medal. With PR Sreejesh hanging up his boots after a 20-year career as a top Indian hockey player and Harmanpreet Singh captaining the team during these Olympics, everything has summed up beautifully for Indian hockey at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
