Both fighters are considered to be the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world. The fight will be broadcasted on Showtime pay-per-view under the Premier Boxing Champions.

The 33-year-old champion Spence has successfully defended his WBA and WBC titles six times.  Mikey Garcia (UD 12), Shawn Porter (SD 12), Danny Garcia (UD 12), and Yordenis Ugas (TKO 10) are among the champions he has defeated.

The Ring ranks Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) as the No. 2 welterweight. The incredibly gifted Nebraskan switch-hitter has won championships at 135, 140, and 147.

The 35-year-old Crawford has earned the WBO title and successfully defended it six times since switching to welterweight, defeating opponents like Amir Khan (TKO 6), Brook (TKO 4), Shawn Porter (TKO 10), and most recently David Avanesyan (KO 6).

Crawford has a record of 30 knockouts in 39 fights and is undefeated.

Whereas Spence has a record of 28-0 with 22 knockouts. He too remains undefeated to date.

Before pay-per-view and ticket sales, Crawford and Spence are expected to earn at least $10 million each from the inaugural edition.

Spence and Crawford have finally reached an understanding on a 2-match deal where the loser has the right to demand a rematch after two years of protracted negotiations and failed efforts. Due to the fact that both competitors are unbeaten welterweight champions, the upcoming event will feature a thrilling fight. The winner will not only become the undisputed welterweight champion but also be regarded as the best boxer in the welterweight class.
