Following his win, he spoke at a Press conference from Belgrade for the first time on Wednesday. “As for the injury I sustained at the Australian Open, it’s healed. But I’m not 100 percent yet. Things are looking very good. As a team, we made the decision to go to Dubai,” he said.

Djokovic is all set to lead the field in Dubai. Meanwhile, earlier, he had appealed for a special permit to enter the US in the coming month. As per the new Covid-19 restrictions in place in the US, no unvaccinated foreigner can enter the country till May 2023.
