Double digit medals, women power: IOC’s Nita Ambani predicts medal rush for India at Paris Olympics

Nita Ambani urged India to support the young athletes in Paris Olympics and hoped that the stars could make the nation proud

International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Nita Ambani has predicted India to double their medal haul in the ongoing Paris Olympics. She claimed that India was capable of securing medals in double digit, backing the 117-member contingent to do their best at the biggest stage. Nita Ambani urged India to support the young athletes in Paris and hoped that the stars could make the nation proud.

Medal rush for India in Paris Olympics?

Nita Ambani made the statement at the inauguration of the first-ever India house in Paris. she further claimed that she dreamed of having the House for the sake of the Indian athletes and the fans who had an undying spirit of belief in their stars.

We are going to do very well. Forty seven per cent of our athletes are girls. All for women power and all for our young boys and girls, we are rooting and cheering for them. I hope we can see double digits in medals for the first time. Go India go, make India proud,” Nita said at the opening ceremony of the India House in Paris.

India to Host Olympics – A shared Dream

Nita Ambani also spoke about the chances of India hosting the Olympics in 2036. She sounded optimistic, while seeking the support of the entire population of India to make this dream come true.

“The day is not far when India will host the Olympic Games. May this be our collective resolve at the opening of the India House. Today, we gather here at the Paris Olympic Games 2024, to open the doors to a dream. A dream that belongs to 1.4 billion Indians. A dream to bring India to the Olympics, and our shared dream to bring the Olympics to India,” Nita Ambani said.
