Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua 2-Fight Deal Agreed Verbally: Saudi and Africa

Former boxing heavyweight champions- Deontay Wilder ad Anthony Joshua can lock horns shortly.

Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua have seemingly given green signals to their potential fight, which can happen on a card also featuring Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury.

That said, Deontay Wilder recently connected with ES News and confirmed negotiating for the Anthony Joshua fight, which he seeks to be a two-bout deal.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ said, “That’s the one that’s up next. I’ll be getting in camp for that real soon. It’s gonna be a great, great fight between me and him [Anthony Joshua].

Wilder further conveyed that the first fight shall happen in Saudi Arabia and the rematch will potentially be taking place in Africa.

Anthony Joshua, who is fresh off a KO win over Robert Helenius, has also given similar thoughts about facing Deontay Wilder somewhere down the line. Joshua also outlined how the fight will appear, comparing it to the legendary George Foreman vs Ron Lyle bout.

‘AJ’ told Sky Sports, “I’d say I’m a bit smarter than that. My approach to boxing is IQ and intelligence. That was an all-out slugfest… I’m saying I’m better than that, and I should be able to beat any opponent just by using one hand I’m that good – that’s my mindset. Whoever’s good enough to take me to the trenches, let’s go.”

Both Joshua and Wilder have had their latest wins against Robert Helenius via KO. It will be intriguing to see how the former world heavyweight champions fare against each other.
