Men’s Singles Draws
Taylor Fritz leads first quarter
Taylor Fritz enters the tournament as the top seed, he will be the World No.6 by the time the tournament begins. He has received a direct bye to the second round. He is likely to face a qualifier or the unseeded Emilio Gomez in the second round. Fritz is the only seeded player in this quarter.
The other players in the quarter are Daniel Altmaier, Adrian Mannarino and Ilya Ivashka. Altmaier and Mannarino will be facing each other in the first round. Ivashka meanwhile is set to face a qualifier.
Denis Shapovalov and Yoshihito Nishioka in second quarter
Denis Shapovalov leads the second quarter of the draws. He will begin his campaign from the second round. The Canadian will face the winner between USA’s Michael Mmoh and wildcard entrant Aleksandar Kovacevic in the second round. Mmoh recently made it to the third round of the Australian Open.
The other seeded player in this draw is Yoshihito Nishioka. The Japanese is the fifth seeded player. He will begin his campaign against Germany’s Oscar Otte in the first round. Jack Sock is so far the only other player in thsi quarter. He will be facing a qualifer. The other two spots in this quarter is also allotted to qualifiers.
Tommy Paul in final quarter
Tommy Paul reached his career-best ranking of World No.19 following his semifinal appearance in the Australian Open. He is leading the final quarter of the draws in this tournament. The American has received a bye to the second round of the tournament. He is likely to face Australia’s Jordan Thompson or a qualifier in the second round.
American John Isner is the seventh seed. He will face fellow American JJ Wolf in the first round. The other players in the quarter are Radu Albot and Fernando Verdasco both the players will be up against each other in the first round.
