CWG 2022: The wait is over for Bajrang Punia. He has got his UK visa and can travel to the to the United Kingdom for the Commonwealth Games. However, Bajrang will now be travelling to the USA for training ahead of the Birmingham Games. He will head to the United States alongside wrestler Deepak Punia this weekend. Actually, he was scheduled to fly to the United State for training much earlier. The delay in his UK visa hampered his preparation a bit as well. He was scheduled to leave for the US last month itself.

Bajrang as well as wrestler Deepak Punia will leave this weekend from India. They will train at the Michigan University until July 30. It is only after their training that the two medal contenders for India will leave for Birmingham.

Bajrang has already tasted success at the CWG, winning gold in the last edition in Australia. He will be more than eager to deliver his best once again. He will compete in the 65 kg category at the Commonwealth Games.
As for Deepak, the 23-year-old will be eying his first medal at the CWG. He is going to represent India in the 86kg category. After missing out on the medal at the Tokyo Olympics, he will be more than eager to bring home a medal from Birmingham.
