Navjot Kaur tests positive for Covid-19, likely to miss next match

Hockey India released a statement on the Covid-19 case as the letter read, “Navjot Kaur had tested positive for Covid-19, however she showed no symptoms. She has been permitted to travel back to India tomorrow. She has been replaced by Sonika.” Hockey India said.

Incidentally, Navjot’s reports have been inconclusive. She tested positive in the first report and her cycle threshold (CT) value improved in the second test. With the CT value being one of the measures of transmission potential of the virus, it has been deemed safe for Navjot to travel. Two women cricketers had earlier tested positive prior to departure.
