Prannoy enjoyed a great season on the tour this year as he is third in the BWF World Tour rankings, behind World No.1 Viktor Axelsen and Chou Tien Chen. He will be the only Indian to participate in the season-ending event this year as World No.7 PV Sindhu will miss it due to an injury.
World No.7 Lakshya Sen and World No.11 Kidambi Srikanth too couldn’t secure spots in the tournament as they finished 11th and 10th in the race to the BWF World Tour finals this year.
