The HSBC BWF World Tour Finals is an annual badminton tournament which is held every December of a year where the players with the most points from that calendar year’s events of the BWF World Tour compete for total prize money of at least US$ 1,500,000.
The previous edition was delayed by a month due to the global outbreak of COVID-19 and was held in January this year. The tournament was played from 27th January to 31st December in Bangkok, Thailand.
Anders Antonsen was crowned as the Men’s Singles champion, while Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying won the Women’s Singles Championship. Taiwanese duo of Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin were the winners in Men’s Doubles category, South Korean duo of Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-Chan won in Women’s Doubles, and Tahi duo of Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai were the winners in the Mixed Doubles category.
