Lakshya Sen fell victim to Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the Men’s finals of the German Open last week. World No. 20 comprehensively defeated Sen in straight sets to win the gold while Lakshya had to settle for the silver.

This defeat proved costly for Sen as he failed to get a rank in the top 10 and had to settle for the 11th spot in the World Rankings. Lakshya is all set to recover from his latest loss as he is set to lock horns with Saurabh Verma in the opening round of the All England Open – Men’s singles match on 16th March 2022.

Lakshya Sen, who has had an impressive run so far this year is all geared up to play in the All England Open that begins on 16th March, Wednesday. The 20-year old made a terrific start to this year by winning the Indian Open title and finished as the runner-up in the recently-concluded German Open. He enters the All England Open with confidence and takes on compatriot Sourabh Verma in the first round.
